Brian Koscho

Workshops were planned as an important part of the festival from the start for their more intimate nature for the audience. One of the proposals we received for a workshop this year came from Brian Koscho, founder of multimedia project Invisible Ground.

Brian’s workshop focused on engaging communities in the telling of their own public histories in southeast Ohio. Participants learned about Invisible Ground's work in podcasting and augmented reality Immersive Historic Markers. Not only that, they heard about the latest marker that went up on the Square just outside Stuart’s Opera House!

We were honored to present Brian Koscho with the DENI Workshop Award for leading a dynamic group of people passionate about learning how media and storytelling can bring history to life. Check out Invisible Ground online (findinvisibleground.com) or on Facebook to get involved!
