Teri Lott
A storytelling festival wouldn’t be complete without storytellers — and we had some truly set the bar high in our first year! Our storytellers graced the outdoor stage and shared stories of Appalachian lore and even held workshops on how to tell a good story.

Teri Lott is the winner of our first ever DENI Storytelling Award. Not only did she share stories on the stage for all to hear, she also led a workshop on the stories of Grandma Gatewood and then the Pack Horse Librarians. She engaged an audience of all ages through a variety of strategies such as spider puppets or philosophical questions about issues Appalachians face.

Congratulations, Teri! We look forward to your new book as well!
